108--torn-train-station
After 40 hours by train.
109--train-station
I used a cheap 35mm camera to get most of my archive in 2003. The film tore, I think it was the camera's fault, but the lab thought it was their's so I got it processed for free.
110--sacred-heart
Our apartment is around the corner from the Church of the Sacred Heart, which seems to be an example of pre-post-modernism
DSC00838
This is the street view from the apartment. The scaffolding is now gone, but, not surprisingly, it looks similar.
DSC00846
This was my bedroom in Prague. Notice the old power book on the floor, the CD player on the table... how 2003.
DSC00777
I traveled with my dad, who liked to take pictures of my laying down, especially if I was sleeping. It's creepy. Here I'm reading Harry Potter (4). We had a recoveriy day after the 40 hour journey and then I was done with the book, I switch to Gravity's Rainbow... which is not entirely unlike Harry Potter actually.

This is someone else's photo of the industrial palace. I like the entrance being in front... take note.
DSC00778
This is me in front of it. Notice the people taking a picture of themselves in front of it behind me.
DSC00795
This is the Heart of the PQ. Dorita Hannah was the primary designer, and it caused me to want to know her more. For a while i didn't hear from her, but we met at the next PQ. I personally think this was a more successful use of the space than the next, no offense Sean.

All of the national exhibit was inthe west wing, arranged in plan by world geography. It made it interesting, insofar as cultural disfusion is observable. I was not so much a fan of the set up in 07, seemed more bare.
DSC00789
Renzo's winning architecture. Notice the specific intent of the design. Pay attnetion architects.
DSC00799
Swedish Electra. I don't like Electra, but I love this model.
DSC00818
This is me with my friend Melissa and a guy whose name I forgot from Austin. That is the monument to those who died in the Plague in Cesky Krumlov.
DSC00832
Postcard shot of Cesky Krumlov.
096--krumluv-fountain
More torn film, I think it is more interesting, more like memory.
103-cheksy-stage-photo
In 2002 I went to Paris, it was the first time I really discovered a major benefit of digital cameras. You can shoot without a flash and check the outcome right away so you don't worry as much about metering. We weren't supposed to take this picture, but since it is without falsh no one knew. It's the theaer at Cesky Krumlov.
099-krumluv-gardian
They put bears in the moats, not water, and gaurdians by the gates.
100-baroque-garden
I took a nap in the gardens up top and took more distressed film.
098-krumluv
This is from across the bridge.
106-castle-at-night
Obligatory night castle shot.
DSC00902
And sunset.
104-prague-castle
There is some great graffiti right around here, and the back gate to the Jewish cemetary behind me.
111-castle-wall
A wall, I like texture.
DSC00850
St. Vitus is the patron saint of dancing.
114-vitus-out-of-context-ex
St. Vitus is plagued by giant hornets...
DSC00860
The uppermost windows are clear... completed in 1913. That is commitment.
DSC00856
115-changing-of-the-guards
I always thought this image made it look like the guard were in focus and the background was soft. It's more distressed film. The bars over the eyes is something I added for a project I did the following year.
118-ped-xing
I'm enamored with pedestrian signage.
DSC00879
There are floating arms with swords in the sewers.
DSC00897
This is the back gate of the Jewish cemetary. I couldn't afford to go in, but the iron work is nice.
122-globe-cafe-door
High Contrast to the the outside of the Globe cafe and bookstore.
119-prague-angle-graf
This is my favorite example of graffiti ever. EVER.
DSC00880
Puppets
DSC00900
nesting dolls.
DSC00892
Obligatory astronmical clock picture. Look it's chiming.
